Foto Kemenperin JAKARTA - Pemerintah fokus memacu industri agar lebih gencar meningkatkan nilai investasi dan ekspornya. Upaya ini diyakini mampu mendorong penguatan daya saing sektor manufaktur dan struktur ekonomi nasional. Terlebih, potensi industri dalam negeri diharapkan bisa dimanfaatkan secara maksimal, baik di pasar domestik maupun ekspor. “Sampai saat ini, pertumbuhan ekonomi nasional didorong oleh industri pengolahan nonmigas dengan kontribusi 17,58 persen. Dengan adanya tekanan ekonomi global, industri pengolahan juga masih menjadi penyumbang ekspor terbesar dengan kontribusi 75,6 persen dari total ekspor nasional,” kata Menteri Perindustrian Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita pada acara Perluasan Investasi dan Pelepasan Ekspor ke Amerika Serikat oleh PT Future Pipe Industries di Balaraja, Tangerang, Banten, Rabu 26 Februari. Tantangan tersebut, ujar Menperin, perlu dijawab dengan kebijakan responsif yang relevan untuk menjawab ketidakpastian. “Dukungan pemerintah bagi sektor industri memang sangat diperlukan, misalnya untuk industri composite pipe ini yang berpeluang dikembangkan untuk masa depan,” paparnya. Agus menjelaskan, produk pipa komposit sangat efisien karena sifatnya yang kuat, anti korosi sehingga tidak meninggalkan jejak lingkungan, serta tidak membutuhkan biaya perawatan yang tinggi. “Mendatang, industri harus berkontribusi terhadap circular economy, karena pada saatnya nanti semua waste dari proses industri bisa diolah dan digunakan kembali sebagai bahan baku. Ini adalah kontribusi dari sektor industri manufaktur,” jelas Menperin. Sehingga, Menperin memberikan apresiasi kepada PT Future Pipe Industries atas realisasi komitmen penanaman modalnya di Indonesia serta keberhasilan memperluas pasar ekspornya hingga ke Negeri Paman Sam. “PT. Menperin menyebutkan, salah satu upaya menarik investor adalah melalui program Peningkatan Penggunaan Produksi Dalam Negeri P3DN. “Kami percaya, implementasi program tersebut akan lebih menarik minat investor dari di negara lain untuk masuk Indonesia, karena menunjukkan sebagai negara yang punya kekuatan pasar domestik,” imbuhnya. Momentum ekspor ini menunjukkan bahwa produk industri di Indonesia dapat kompetitif di pasar internasional dengan memiliki standar yang tinggi.
